    Electric test fail.

I have been warning my loyal customers for about 18 months that I’d be giving up. After the end of June my super polite mobile message using Vodafone extended absence will tell people I’ve stopped (I have a new number for post retirement) And similarly my email will have an out of office too...

    Electric test fail.

Just checked - its actually 71 days and that includes weekends and bank holidays

    Electric test fail.

And there seem to be far more people meddling with electrics these days too - from multiple trades and DIY Retirement in less than 100 days

OP - did you get the invoice direct from the spark or from the LA

An EICR for £72.00 - won’t be worth the paper it’s printed on

    Electric test fail.

Good you did, and fingers crossed you found us helpful Yes there are far too many "cheap" EICR's done these days - a quick in and out for sub £100 - which simply means the report is not to be trusted in most cases. AND bear in mind there are lots of internet based companies offering such...

You could Code a non compliance but they can’t be used to fail the inspection

    Electric test fail.

Re the tails through separate holes - the first spark wasn’t competent Re the meter tails - you can’t fail an EICR on part of the installation that the DNO and supplier are responsible for. This can only be a comment

Do nothing until you see the unsatisfactory report. You have 30 days from receipt to act on it

Really need to see a photo of the board with the MCB's on view AND the part of the EICR with the list of the issues.

    Electric test fail.

Not having AFDD's is a C3 in my book for an existing installation. Anybody dishing out C1 or C2 codes for this doesn't understand the regs Why bother spending this money when your tenants are about to move out? Using a socket tester will not tell you anything.............. with any accuracy...

    Interesting wave power idea

Portugal have used this type of technology for a very long time

    Non-Notifiable work

Never used one but there again never seem to have issues with slow payers

    Non-Notifiable work

And no doubt building up a cash balance in your business account is a good move too - then you can pay your suppliers and not be too worried about slow payers

Beware of MTD heading your way too

    Non-Notifiable work

That’s all well and good but how will you know if it’s worth while?

Have you had a go at calculating your fixed and variable over heads ? And what the competition charge? And don't forget to save for your tax and NI too. I've always done this monthly using my premium bond account

    Quick Question

Sadly too many chancers seem to think that the supply to a class 2 item doesn't need an earth - which is 100% incorrect. It doesn't need to be connected to the accessory but it needs to be there

    Non-Notifiable work

Each to their own I’ve used a certificate package for a very long time now. Not tied to a carp CPS system either
