    Brain Fog

I seem to remember being told at either a tech talk or something similar that there was a maximum rating for a fixed connected appliance that could be plugged in on a 13a socket. I know a 13a socket is 3kw but in my mind I've got 2.2kw as a maximum. I've tried looking in the BBB and OSG buy...

Carrying out an Eicr. Oil tank is in garden and boiler is located at the rear of the property. The oil pipe does not appear to enter the property as it looks like its underground from the tank to the boiler. I don't think the oil pipe has to be bonded as it does not enter the property...

    French Power

After spending Christmas in France at a relatives I finally got round to doing a few jobs that they wanted doing. I don't know if it's just me but the tickle I got from a supposedly dead cable didn't seem half as powerful as to what we get at home. I know they are on 230v and more often than...

    Quick question.

Has anyone else had issues with one of these plug in hot tub units ? Customer bought one and I installed an outdoor 13a socket for it. When I arrived the plug on the hot tub was a 16a, but all the instructions and the manufacturers website confirmed that this was a 13a unit. Rang the...

It's sad news about the young boy in Blackpool who was electrocuted in the Hotel reception area. My thoughts go out to the family at this time. Having worked in the Blackpool area ( not at this hotel ) I am not surprised that something like this has happened. A majority of Blackpool based...
