Thanks for the heads up guys I guess I have been a bit naive trusting internet review sites  :facepalm:  will start asking around friends for recommended contractors, one day I'll finally have no hassle hot water!

Thank you! I know never did I think I would end up with a new boiler but the same old problem! I'm based in Hemel, Hertfordshire 

Thanks for your reply, I've had 3 electricians round but none were familiar with the pulsacoil system and weren't sure how it worked, the first two left telling me to call someone else and the third took a guess at changing the contactor but perhaps I've just been unlucky!
