    Bathroom extractor - take 2

Ok there is a ceiling rose in the attic (operates the attic light) that I plan to get the live neutral and earth from. Would it be a case of running a 2 core and earth from the ceiling rose to the switch and a 3 core and earth from the rose to the fan?

    Bathroom extractor - take 2

Hello Thanks for the replies. The circuit has an RCD at the fuse board. There is currently a neutral and a live and earth in the switch. Neutral going to COM and the live to L1 earth just going to a piece of connector block. Would I use a 3 core and earth to wire the fan to the second switch...

    Bathroom extractor - take 2

Hello folks I posted a while ago about putting a bathroom extractor fan into the attic. I have since managed to run a cable from the existing single way bathroom switch up into the attic (I didn't think I was going to be able to do this last time I posted). Ideally, I want to run the fan on a...

    Bathroom extractor fan

OK so on further inspection getting a cable up through the wall is not that easy. As an alternative can I just power the fan from one of the existing 50w downlights? i.e. run a two core cable from the live and neutral of the downlight to the live and neutral of the fan?

Hello Wondering if someone can give me some advice. I have an s&p td silent fan that I want to use as a bathroom extractor fan. I'm looking to run the fan (no timer or humidistat) from a switch outside the bathroom by turning the existing 1 gang light switch to a two gang. Is this possible...

    Making a switch two way..

Ive got this working now which is great. Thanks for the help. One other question though, I now have 4 earth cables in this switch box, could I terminate them all in a wago, it's a bit of a fiddle to get all 4 in the earth block!

    Making a switch two way..

Ah ok, that's great. I understand about the neutrals and the commons makes sense in hindsight. How would I wire in the three core and earth? Do I need to cut the existing lives to the led strips?

    Making a switch two way..

Can someone help answer this for me? I have a 2 gang switch in my garage. The switch on the left operates a motion detect led light outside the garage, the switch on the right operates two led strip lights on the garage ceiling. If I enter the garage from the back door, I have to cross the...
