    Hi all, managed to sort the issue out over the weekend and found it to actually be a fault I the unit, took it back and swapped it for a new one and all is working perfectly now. Thanks for all the advice.

    Ah I will do that and check for 230v at the terminals to see what it's getting when I get back later on.

    It's never worked and I replaced it same model for the same and put the wires back were they were before. I think the third terminal in is a switched live but do i need to use this or just the permanent live? There is a timer on it and it set in the middle at the minute.

    This is what it looks like when I remove the cover, hope they are helpful, the wire I to the switch is direct from the fuse box on its own circuit, then goes straight to the transformer and from there straight to the fan motor in the bathroom.

    Just moved in and it wasn't working, I've checked the voltage and all is fine, it feeds dircet from the fuse box/circuit breaker on its own circuit with a red black and earth cable that runs into a isolation switch and then red black and earth run in to the transformer (earth is covered off not...

    Hi all, joined and am after advice about my bathroom extractor fan not working, replaced the fan and transformer with new ones, still no joy. It's wired directly from the fuse box on its own circuit and not connected to the light.
