Need to find LED dimmer switches in Brushed SS finish.

Just to update, decided on Varilight, Screwless Brushed Stainless Steel, and very well priced (I think) from MySwitchShop. Trailing-edge dimmers, too. Thanks all.

Need to find LED dimmer switches in Brushed SS finish.

As heading - I (well, my bro) need some singles and some doubles. (Also matching sockets, with USBs and white inserts, but that secondary) I understand about leading and trailing-edge, but is this still the issue it once was, or can modern, decent-quality, LEDs cope with both (GU10, size)? Most...

Looking for 'touch' light switch for bathroom.

I just never would! All that steam condensing... Urgh.

Looking for 'touch' light switch for bathroom.

Thanks - yes, I've seen them. The main issue is the appearance, and getting a switch plate style to fit in. Anyhoo, looks like they are now going for a mirror with everything built-in - dimmer, light 'warmth', demist - and then seeing if they can have it framed in timber :)

Looking for 'touch' light switch for bathroom.

Hi all. The situation is that a friend is having their en-suite completely refurbished. It has its main ceiling light switched from outside as normal. They also want a wall light, separately switched, above the mirror. The problem is, they hate pull-cords - both beeg ceiling ones, and wee light...

HELP, How to prove power theft through my circuit from the flat above

Hi Sun. I mentioned in that post an example, but I have no idea of its effectiveness. "Sun_23 - I have no idea if this device is any good - perhaps folk on here could advise? If it might do the trick, are you techie enough to set up and run the App? Ebay item 304811932877 It's "Watty Box 1000...

HELP, How to prove power theft through my circuit from the flat above

Is there an easy way to do this, Boris? One that would give an idea in real time? Thanks.

HELP, How to prove power theft through my circuit from the flat above

No-one knows whether any thread is genuine. Tho' obviously the vast majority are :) Why would the upstairs folk switch on an appliance as the OP does so? I'm guessing it would be to prevent the OP's meter from running when the OP has turned everything off; that would be a tad too obvious an...

HELP, How to prove power theft through my circuit from the flat above

How 'serious' is this flaw in reality? This would scupper the results?

Will the DEXTRA GROUP Impervia LUXT5249 PC EL fluorescent fittings take LED tubes?

Thanks all. Yes, I've since confirmed that the fittings - which do not have 'chokes' - would need completely rewiring to supply mains directly to any replacement LED tube. Whilst I'd be happy to do this for my own fittings, this is for someone else, and there are too many other factors involved...

Will the DEXTRA GROUP Impervia LUXT5249 PC EL fluorescent fittings take LED tubes?

Thanks. Yes, I did ask Dextra, and they just said there are no LED tubes that'll slot straight in (correct, as i now know), but to buy one of their new LED fittings instead...

HELP, How to prove power theft through my circuit from the flat above

Hi Sun. Well done for contacting your Housing Assoc. Was this done in writing? If not, I'd suggest doing so again, so you have a record of having informed them. I presume both you and the person above are tenants? If so, you'll undoubtedly want that person removed after this is sorted, and lack...

Will the DEXTRA GROUP Impervia LUXT5249 PC EL fluorescent fittings take LED tubes?

Thank you. That sounds like a goer, then. There shouldn't be any issues with perished parts as the fittings certainly look to be in very good order, but I'll confirm before proceeding - good point. Any recommendation for tube make? These tubes seem unusual as they are T5 terminal, whilst being...

Will the DEXTRA GROUP Impervia LUXT5249 PC EL fluorescent fittings take LED tubes?

Hi. As the subject heading. I understand there aren't any LED tubes that'll work as a straight replacement, but I'm happy to do some rewiring inside the fitting - eg, by-passing the ballast, etc - if that is required, rather than replace it all. (Because I have a few to do, and they are...
