    Led Lighting - Contactor

Hi all, I've recently installed some outside lighting points, with LED bulbs, which are controlled by a stand alone dusk until dawn sensor. 3 x wall lighting with GU10 LEDs and a spotlight with built-in LEDs. This light in particular has been temperamental since being installed, coming on...

Pir / Emergency Lighting - Issue

The PIRs I checked were working fine, activating the switch live as required. There was 230v at the lighting points but the bulbs weren't coming on, despite new bulbs being installed. This was the case for all the lights I checked in the communal hallway area.

Hi there, Just after a bit of friendly advice regarding an emergency lighting issue I've come across this week. I've been doing some work this week on some apartments in an apartments block. In the communal hallway area there are several lighting points with remote PIR sensors. These lighting...

    Adding A 3Rd Switch To A 2 Way Switch

Fair shout Chewbacca! One quick question before I post my attempt and get mocked further - Will the first switch be replaced with an intermediate switch?

    Adding A 3Rd Switch To A 2 Way Switch

How would the switch be wired? Would L still go in L1 and S/L go in L2?

    Adding A 3Rd Switch To A 2 Way Switch

Hey, Just after a bit of advice regarding adding a 3rd switch to a 2 way switching circuit. Normally the 3rd switch would be connected to the 2nd switch in the switching circuit but is it possible to add the 3rd switch to the 1st switch in the circuit .i.e. the one with the 2c+e and the 3c+e...

    N-E Issue

Thanks for the reply ProDave. It is a single cable spur. I agree, I think running a new cable from the nearby socket and making safe the current cable is the best option. I'm curious what's causing the fault though so I'm going to investigate further. Thanks.

    N-E Issue

Hi, Just after a bit of advice regarding a N-E issue i've come across. I've been working on a job where the customer would like all their sockets and switches replacing, amongst other things. When coming to do this on a hallway socket upstairs (an unfused spur) i've plugged in my socket tester...

Texecom Veritas - Engineer Code Reset

I tried the factory reset but unfortunately it looks like it's been locked. It's a Texecom Veritas 8 with built in keypad. I'll maybe ring the Texecom helpline tomorrow, they might tell me how to do it FOC! :)

Texecom Veritas - Engineer Code Reset

Hey guys, Just wondering if anyone might know how to go about resetting what appears to be a locked engineer code? The manual mentions that there may be a charge incurred for Texecom to do it so I was hoping to avoid that if possible! :)

Load Module Dorman Smith 63A Under-Floor Heating Contactor

You are right SPECIAL LOCATION but the programmer was no longer working and needed to be replaced anyway. As I mentioned I haven't come across these contactors before and didn't have the prior knowledge to know how to verify it was still operating correctly or otherwise. I assumed (wrongly as it...

Load Module Dorman Smith 63A Under-Floor Heating Contactor

Thanks guys. You're right NozSpark, I don't want to start replacing things that might not be damaged. Regarding the clunking noise - When the thermostat is switched on the contactor does make a clunking noise but when i've then checked the output side of the contactor there's nothing coming through.
