Just a quick one on JIB rates

I'm not JIB registered, I've only been looking in to this tonight and that's where the question about what I would be classed as came up mate. My employer isn't I believe, but I can ask him tomorrow. And about the last question, I'm definitely being underpaid.

Just a quick one on JIB rates

Last year I completed my C+G 2330 Level 3 course on my apprenticeship. My employer has got the certificates so I don't know off the top of my head what I've actually got, but I'm just wondering something. Having completed the 2330, would I be classed as an Electrician under the JIB pay rates...

Knowledge question that I've searched everywhere for the answers.

It's just a general knowledge question as part of my unit, "Installing Electrical/Electronic Equipment", so as long as I have a half decent answer then it doesn't have to go into specifics. It is strangely worded though, I've reread it a few times already. Thing is, I don't actually have a...

Knowledge question that I've searched everywhere for the answers.

Hi all, I'm hoping one of you can point me in the right direction here. The question is I've been searching for hours on Google and can't find anything whatsoever to help me. All I've got so far is

Right, need help with another formula please.

You wouldn't believe how much it helps, thanks a lot mate.

Right, need help with another formula please.

Well, not so much the formula, but the resistivity. I know the formula is R = pL/A (well, I believe it is). I just don't know how to work it out so I get the right answer. The part that's stumping me most is how do I interpret the p = 1.72 x 10-8 Ωm? The answer I get is 0.000000054. It's safe...

    Power dissipation formulas?

I did see the efficiency formulas, but I don't know how the hell to get my power input worked out. I'M AN IDIOT hahaha. I've just worked it out using IxV (My input power), then dividing the 1500 Watts by the IxV, which gives me 0.9375. Multiply by 100 and bingo! 93.75%. Thanks a lot Admin...

    Power dissipation formulas?

I've just Googled that, thanks for the tip. I've got one more formula that I'm stuck on here though and I've searched everywhere in my paperwork and Google but I can't seem to find anything. I'm seriously stumped by this. I haven't yet looked at the answer as I want to work this one out and then...

    Power dissipation formulas?

Thanks for the formula, I've got that one written down and have actually memorised it already, so it's nice to actually have piece of mind that I had the right one. And thanks a lot for the link green-hornet, I'll check it out.

    Power dissipation formulas?

Ah, so which calculations should I be using for reactance? Thanks again mate.

    Power dissipation formulas?

    I see. Thanks a lot, I was doing 230/100 = 2.3, then 2.3x230 = 529. If it wasn't a pure inductor, would this have been correct?

    Power dissipation formulas?

Hi all, new here. I'm an apprentice near the end of my time, and taking my resit for the H+S and Electrical Principles exam 2330-301 either tomorrow or next Monday. I've got some practice questions, and I'm stuck on a few of them. I've got the answers so I don't need them, I just need to know...
