    hardwiring welder

There's a few ways you can do it, but rather than list them all here you are going to need the installer back (or another one). Basically, nothings impossible.

First edition of the Regs , 1882

Interesting that it is stressed that testing is vital yet our American friends still don't think it is necessary.

Bonding clips in the approved position

When was that a thing? Are we back to the old metal window frames and teaspoons thing? Not everything metal needs an earth, on my desk I have a stapler, a metal ruler, some metal pens..... How would you expect the pipes to become live?

Advice on replacement wall socket please

That is absolute rubbish. No idea what you are trying to achieve specifically, but whatever it is this product will not do it (unless you were trying to burn your house down). Seriously, this is just a socket. The one you removed does EXACTLY the same job as the one you have attempted to fit...

    Sensor to Bluetooth

Yes. Assign the R&D team a budget, or outsource it.

    Could someone enlighten me ?

Yeah, I think you're asking the wrong people tbh, half of the responses are made up/wrong! Try asking on a forum where the majority of the members don't have bus passes.

    New type of thermostat

Convert it to an S plan and there is no need to add another core.

    New type of thermostat

There's actually no connection from that terminal to the clock, looks like it might just be used as a connector in this instance.

    New type of thermostat

    Pretty tidy that.

Something free from BT ..I don't believe it !!!

That's basically what I meant, Openreach want the core network upgrading so the more people that take fibre means the more of the old network that can be ditched. The government don't help, we aren't good with forward planning and diving into the future, we like things to stay the same...

    Modern door, door contact

You've clearly never even looked. Maybe you should read and understand the post before engaging the keyboard!

Something free from BT ..I don't believe it !!!

Quite the opposite, Openreach would prefer everyone to be on fibre so they can scrap the bulk of the old network.

    new connection method

As many as you can fit in it (on a radial).

    Jump Starters

What I meant was, the thing in the OP is a battery, but with all the protection and charging circuitry built in. I don't see why you would (as an unskilled person) not use the pack in the OP. But yeah, maybe some idea of the size of the pump and the amount of time the thing needs to run would...

Central heating stays on when hot water is on

That alone wouldn't have made a difference. It is more likely that the valve is not closing properly, might be intermittently failing to close or could be some debris in the valve.

    Modern door, door contact

Ignoring the physical constraints you may have a problem with warranties with it being a new build so even if you could get a flush contact fitted you probably can't. I fit flush contacts to PVC and composite doors all the time, and I also fit surface contacts depending on whether it is worth...

    metal halide replacement

TBF you shouldn't need to be replacing lamps every 12 months, or rather they shouldn't be failing so often. I've seen some compact fluorescent low bay replacements that work well too and have been on every day for several years, but then I could also find plenty of sites with low bays that are...

    metal halide replacement

I fitted some random lights the other year and ended up sticking a 150W metal halide and a 50W LED flood on a pole. Light output was largely the same (outdoor on a ménage). Might be useful, might be rambling from a tired man. Got some non-working metal halides to attend to later this week so...
