its for a consumer unit change , and customer has got a 6mm cooker feed on a 45A tried to talk him into a new 10mm cable but he has just had kitchen done .... blar blar !

hob and cooker ... he has had the book out and the hob is 30 amp and the oven is on a fused spur off the cooker connection unit which he says its 13 amp...

what do you think...? would 40 still be ok? what do you think the chances are of them both being on full at the same time?

40 will be ok diversity and all that.

I think contactum do them lookin at forum on phone so can't easily look for you but look at the tlc website

A 40Amp MCB will happily take 50Amps, in the unlikely event that all rings are on the hob, and oven is pulling full power

if its under 15kw for both then it should be ok on a 32mcb, taking in diversity

soo i would think 40 will be fine
