Talking of that a builder who did his own electric's connected the extractor fan into the switch so it would come on when switch was put on not a good idea I think.I've seen a 9.5KW shower on 4mm cable....And that did get warm.....
It is my firm belief that any shower circuit cable feeds the shower and nothing else...
