Adding to a light circuit

Hi everyone

If you have 3/4 lights in a circuit and only one of them has a feed, do you have to take the switch cable from the light switch to the lamp which has the feed first, then continue it to the remaining lamps, or can you go to any lamp first?

Not exactly sure what you are trying to get to with this one...

I presume "3/4 lights in a circuit" means three or four lights?

NOT

three quarters of a light!? :^O:^O

Your switch cable goes from the light switch.. to the lamp you want to switch on.!!!

all of the lights on the circuit must have a supply connection to Neutral and Earth, (unless double insulated class II),

and a switched live supply from a suitably located switch.

They may also have a permanent live supply looped in and out to the next light in the circuit? or they may be looped at the switches! ?:|

Do you have any pictures / drawings / or sketch of what you are aiming to do??

Mmmm... Thanks SL. It took me awhile to work out what you had said and drawing out certainly helped. Lights are working!
