Gents your comments would be appreciated.

Looked at a job yesterday customer wants additional supply to his catering kitchen and remove existing circuits from another board hence same load as existing.

My view was to run from the henley blocks already fitted 35mm meter tails to metal junction box via a suply isolator 60A then 10 mtrs swa 10mm to new 6 way consumer unit metalclad.

My calcs say 10mm will give 68A my question being would you be happy using the SWA armour as the main earthing conductor from the junction box at meter site or would you run seperate 16mm earth.

54G calculates 10mm swa armour min requirement 22.6 actual of 10mm csa 41

Your thoughts would be appreciated.

25mm Tails are more then adequate, in fact if you are going to restrict load at 60 Amps then 16mm tails are sufficent, regs allow tails to be sized as to MAX LOAD they will carry

BRB PG 74

Reg 433.3.1 (i)

I would use 3 core SWA and use 3rd conductor as CPC
