Are you selling straight from PV or from battery storage, and how do you control that, if you can?Who managed to sell some electricity today.. it peaked at nearly 1.80 pounds yes pound not penny.

I do not have yet my new system, I only have FiT.Are you selling straight from PV or from battery storage, and how do you control that, if you can?
I understood it is controlled via the smart meter and inverter compatible with Octopus energy, but I could be wrong.I do not have yet my new system, I only have FiT.
I was just wondering if someone managed to sell at that price.
Regarding your question. I believe this is the job of the BMS depending on how you have prioritized it.
I do not know the detail either but what I know is that effectively some hardware must be compatible in order to connect to the Octopus database so the BMS/Inverter knows when to export at the best price.I understood it is controlled via the smart meter and inverter compatible with Octopus energy, but I could be wrong.
I would have thought it's purely a function of the inverter. If it has supply available and configured to export it will ramp up it's output and export. On my Victron I can set priorities with Schedules, so for example I can have 08:00 to 16:50 Priority supply the house (it aims to make import zero). 16:51 to 18:00 export at 5KW, it will increase it's output voltage maintaining a steady 5kW export rate. The BMS's function is simply to monitor teh capacity and balance of the battery cells, stopping the inverter when they are at minimum voltage.I do not have yet my new system, I only have FiT.
