Looking for 7TB of off site back up @ this moment in time though.

Looking for the cheapest option, which seems to be Amazon Glacier @ the moment.

Anyone?

I am only at the moment looking at sending it "up", hopefully I will never need to pull it down again as my backup will not fail.

I'm not sure of the costs yet, not gone into it.

However, I have 7TB of orphaned data here on a RAID6 with no offsite backup, that I need to sort somehow.

Thoughts Canoe?

7tb?! how much porn do you have?!

and thats going to take a long time to upload?
No porn.

Yes it will take a long time to upload.

However, it is mostly business data as I keep customer computer, PLC & CNC backups, just in case, as I can sell them back if, they need them.

However, if, they don't work, that is their tough luck for not paying me to sort out a "proper" backup for them! ;)

It won't however, stop me for charging them for tying to recover the backup, that they were not willing to pay for at the time, and I took off my own back, but, with no guarantees that it would be functional.

If they are not willing to sort out their own reliable backups, why should I, but...

There is money to be made too...

but you can download a lot faster thn upload steps, although if you were getting the file from someone with  normal net connection it would take a similar time

SW - could you not bung the data on a HDD and give it to someone else to keep?
