Not used those, used a lot of JA. I would check low light performance, usually shown as 200w per m2, which suites UK weather better. I would also look at California state testing for power ratings. They use a test that represents real world power outputs better. It's also fair to say I've always found European designed panels work better in the UK, like Q cells.

So you mean this curve

Below is Vertex

Then I believe I need to compare apple with apple. ie the JA curve is for a 540W panels while the curves one is for a 440W therefore it is to be expected that the curve for JA will be higher. Therefore such curves should be compared for panels with close kWp. am I correct?

They usually show a set of curves that depict ampage at different light levels, so the above is a little meaningless. What are the panel efficiencies ?

Vertex S+ 450W 22.5% max efficiency (but what is the min guarantee?)

JA78S10 450W 20.7% efficiency (max min median, not spec on the datasheets)

I cannot find Ampage at different light level. I can't even recall seing it in any datasheet.

Comparing datasheet of Vertex and JA of similar Wp, it would seem that Vertex is better. However, no indication of the ampage at different light level.

Looking at the type of responses it seems that no one has actually got any field experience about these panels.

I have attached the 2 datasheets for information

The I-V curve is exactly what I was asking about.

Given that data I would opt for the Vertex, at 1.8% more efficient, it's going to work better. Both have similar low light performance, but again looks like the Vertex is slightly better.

I would agree, however, as I have room for larger panels and Vertex does not provide 550W or even 605W like Ja Solar. I think I am still better off with such large panels even if the warranty is less and efficiency too. The 550W is similar than the 440W shown above.
