You don't get a discount on everything,, mostly on consumable building type stuff.

The best discount I did manage to get was on a gx53 light fitting for my kitchen IIRC

Ive never had any sort of worthwhile discount on anything specifically electrical,

some decent discounts on other general stuff though.

IMHO I think trade point is a waste of time... The people who work there don't have a clue about anything trade. They always run out if stock... The way they code things in the book is crap eg e145 for a earth strap ??? How are we ment to know that... They only stock basic things and give no discount.

It's not trade because I see lots of the general public use it..

And they are expensive

there is no point, we get no discount on electrical related items! but when we bought plumbing stuff we got mega discount!! work that one out!

we where told by the tradepoint near us that basically alot of the items arent discounted but advertised through there catalog without the VAT so it looks cheaper but works out same price by time u add vat, sometimes it even works out more expensive as mentioned above!

we purchased a tap from there that should have been
