In the office again.
So this customer, who has just had 3.885KW chucked on the roof, wants a meter that can tell him how much he is generating, in real time, relative to how much he`s using. In other words, he wants to use all his generated power, without buying in, as far as possible (i.e. its bright & sunny, I can put the washing machine on to use up my surplus, rather than exporting it.

Now I know it could be done with 1 or 2 of the "owl" type monitors, a USB link, and a bit of software....but is there a proprietary unit on the market???

Thanks

Thanks, Canoey, going well mate - Got 3 jobs over nexct three days; then 4 or 5 next week ;) :) :) :)

Happy daze.

Albert: Yeah, I know; but the inverter won`t reference the amount being generated to the amount being used.

I sort of need a differential current clamp, with (if t`were analogue) a centre unity meter; to one side he`s generating more than he`s using, to the other side at night - or when demand outstrips generation, iyswim?

Wattson PV unit - 2 amp clamps for PV (if you have mini cu) and main supply. Glows all sorts of funny colours depending on whether you are exporting, using, bit of both. Not particularly accurate, but a reasonable indicator.
