Hi,

Please can someone explain how this board is assembled. I didnt get a chance to take on of the mcbs out but there was no buzz bar and the live out feed come from bottom of mcb.

Any info appreciated

M4tty,

The bus bar is on top of the mcb's under the cover with the brown sliders.

This is a std layout in MG boards.

The brown, or red, yellow, blue, black or grey depending on the board, slider isolates the pin that sticks out, thus you can then change the mcb with power on without having to touch any live parts.

You never move these sliders under load.

The busbar is under the brown sliders.

The sliders isolate the MCBs to allow them to be changed without de-energizing the board.

Interesting

That's pretty much a standard setup for a 3 phase board (usually two vertical rows of MCB's back to back) but the first time I've seen it on a single phase board.

Nice to work on, as you can isolate an MCB to replace it withour powering down the whole board.

Can be a pain if you forget to slide them back on.
done that before.

its also a pain to re-assemble switch after you knock the cover off.... took over an hour to rebuild a 6 way TP... meanwhile everyone complaining there was no power....
