is it wise to buy an old robin continuity/ir tester off a certain auction site or do you think theres a possibility that these could be borrowed...... :|

answered yr own question there i think !!!!!

i personally wouldnt buy anything like that from there

if u do decide to purchase one it would need calibrating b4 use

yea appreciate that but im not working and cant afford new but been offered some work if i get one so bit of a dilemma:| don't think callibrations that much is it?

multi function are 80 ish .. i would of thought 40 ish for that 1 . ?

thanks i was sort of thinking that much....wot are you opinions on the fluke multi testers??

post the link to the one you are looking at

i would stick it out for a mft, also get 1 in date with calibration.. i just sold 1 for 160 the metrel and i paid 80 for calibration in high sight i should of kept it . :(

if you get a megger that isnt three years old you will have the remainder of the warranty (i think). if you send it back to megger for fixing they will fix it and give you a calibration cert aswel.

sorry theoryspark im proper pony when it comes to links and stuff..the multi tester is a kts 1620 and the continuity/ir was the 3075...they look good but just a bit wary of spending money i dont gotX(

If you give me half an hour I have;

1) Megger BM221 IR / Continuity tester

2) Megger cbt3 rcd tester

3) Megger lt7 efli tester

That I was going to put up on T.E.F
