My local footy club (where I sponsor one of the players and my youngest plays with the U11s) have asked me to quote for some work.
One of the items they require is a buzzer system. There needs to be a push button of some kind in the referees changing room, which when pressed sounds a buzzer in the home and away teams changing rooms. It is an FA requirement so that the Referee can sound the buzzer to alert the teams to make their way onto the pitch.
I was thinking that the simplest method would be to buy a Friedland remote door bell and two extra sounders. Battery life wouldn't be a problem as it'd only be used a couple of times a week.
I also wondered if a disabled alarm system could be adapted. This way there could be a buzzer and a light in each changing room (and perhaps behind the bar too). I've never fitted one of these systems so don't know how flexible or adaptable they might be.
BTW: this is a local club that relies on sponsorship and volunteers, so cost is a consideration. The phrase "cost effective" should apply.
Advice / suggestions / ideas anyone?
