.WF are doing Unitest testers for about 260 notes

Not the best but for that money you can forgive some rough edges!

Yep. However, they still give you the right readings though! Just a pity there is no 180 degree reverse on the RCD test, does give you a ramp test though!

What going to be the difference between a 16th edition tester and a 17th edition tester ???????

Is there going to be any more tests or something ?

It sounds like somekind of blag to me

So the new selling tactic is 17th tester

But the only difference is that they are more expensive ?:|

I think one of the points the manufactures push as 17th ed

is the phase rotation verification feature.

e.g. to meet reg

612.12

multi phase circuits must verify phase sequence is maintained..

don't think this was a specific written requirement of 16th

but I could be wrong!! ?:|

Dont make a scrap of difference to the ole domestic job tho!

totally agree, :D

I think that is the only major thing I can see SL,

but TBH its not a major thing, and it can be verified be other means,

tho if you only do domestic I cant see any difference between meters.

Ive always tried to get phase rotation on my meters anyway, just makes life that little bit easier sometimes on 3phase,

ie, not having to go back and change wiring on motors once they get commisioned (and go backwards :^O :^O ) etc.

Ahh...!

But where is that element of surprise:^O:^O:^O

which way is the conveyor belt gonna go then mr electrician..

heads its left... tails its right!! ]:)

:^O :^O:^O

Sorry Steps, its WF that are doing them, at least locally, they seem to be doing a massive stock clearance at the moment! :^O

personally....would feel lost if i had to stop lightly putting a cable tie in the fan of those hard to see/reach motors to check direction:^O
