can you interlink co2 detectors and smoke alarms ?

the reason I ask is I always thought that when you hear a fire alarm you close doors and on co2 you open doors.

I have always not linked these, but today I saw a product guild from aico and they show them linked

According to Kidde Fyrnetics:

Using "smart" interconnect, they can be interlinked.

BS5839 calls for a different alarm sound for co & fire.

If a fire is detected; the co alarm will sound the "fire" alarm, along with the other smokies.

If co is detected, ALL co alarms will sound the "co" alarm. Smokies cannot generally provide a different tone, so would not respond.

If you do interlink ANY alarms, ensure they are the same manufacturer. This is vital!
