Just a quick question before I go out for an hour or so..

What would your thoughts be as to wiring a gas combi off a lighting circuit, via a 3A switched fused spur???

Present demand on lighting circuit is 2A (after diversity) **1 bed flat**

well a combi of that size is hardly gonna take more than a couple of amps,

and your prob not gonna have more than 10 lights,

so I dont really see any issue with FCU for boiler.

are the lights on RCD? that may be only issue, unless you wire boiler in trunking.

I can't see a real issue here.

Bearing in mind the boiler is often a 3A spur off the ring main. But in this instance it would be a little harsh to criticize the method and reason behind this.

The only point I would add to the above comments...

make sure you put a nice clear label at / on / or very close to the CU detailing that the boiler is fed from that circuit!

Avoid any confusion in the event of needing to isolate at a later date! ;)
