Following situation. Two rooms each with own entry door and light switch at the door for overhead light. Concrete walls, laying new cables is not an option, also cost point to > expansive and to complex because of rest of structure. One dry-wall removed to make both rooms in to one. The in-ceiling (concrete deck that according to the architect can not be touched to run new cables in it, static reasons) light points are not aligned with each other.
As the room will be used as an office we want to put one surface mounted track on the ceiling. As the in-ceiling light points do not align at all with each other, we can not put in two feeds on one track. Two tracks would look silly. So one in-ceiling light points will need to be blinded of.
It would however be nice to be able to operate the light from both entry doors. Is there a remote solution of some kind one could put in? Any other ideas as to how to solve this?
Thanks.
