Hi all I'm new to the forum,

Not long out of collage and looking for some advice on lighting say 20 circuits all being switched now via contactors? I understand coil supply and how it's done and supply and loads in and out its just the neutrals ? And there place to be ? Any diagrams would be helpfull!

dont normally need to be switched on lighting circuits, but I usually find it simpler to put them through contactor too,

unless of course its a load of singles in conduit and the neutral is possibly already at the light and you are just switching a live,

need to be careful what exactly you do with your neutrals especially if you have EM fittings etc

yes, unlike the person who wrote the spec for a job a few years back - all light switches must be DP. it was pointed out by those wiring the place, but he knew what he was doing

in the end all the switched neutrals had to be removed and joined with terminal block in the back of the switch...

So, if contactors are doing the switching should the neutral

be switched as well as the live IF the earthing arrangement

is TT?

Or need this only be applied to the primary isolator before

the contactors?

Or are there other considerations?  Switching of ALL live

conductors perhaps?
