Hello Apache,

A strange one this Blushing

Do vets keep records of their cat & dog clients' DNA? Also, are vets able to verify which cat/dog a pile of faeces came from? The reason why I'm asking is that someone is throwing the occasional plastic bag of cat/dog faeces into my garden :(

...maybe it would be better to get the bag fingerprinted?

Best regards,

TTbb

Hello TTbb :)

Do vets keep records of their cat & dog clients' DNA?
You are the client, the cat or dog is the patient! We don't keep samples of the owner or the dog's DNA! Even when we do certian genetic tests they are only looking for the prescence or abscence of a single gene!

Also, are vets able to verify which cat/dog a pile of faeces came from?
No.

The only advice I can give you is to be nice to your neighbours ;)

Sorry to hear of your problem!

police are your best option mate, if it does have someones fingerprints or dna on the bag, they may be already on the data base. it does not take much to get on it now days
