Hi, on a domestic property, wiring a external wall light.

Does the wall light have loop in/loop out lighting wiring plus the internal switch cable?

Or

One cable from the wall light to the internal switch, where it picks up its live and neutral from?

Getting conflicting answers, hoping some one on here can confirm for me please.

Thanks

Thats because either way is fine, just bear in mind that some fittings can be a bit tight on connection space

Sharpend,

Yes, that is what i am asking. Should the live, neutral and earth be taken to the switch or the outside light

Take it to the switch, put neutrals together in a wago, then use live in and live out to light. Earths together in earth lug on back box if metal, or wago If plastic.
