Poetic justice.

But in the PC age we live in, the fireman will probably be charged with assault.

Reminds me of a narrowboat holiday I had with a group of hairy bikers.

As we approached a bridge, some youths were standing on top throwing rocks into the canal.

So the two largest, hariest, meanest looking of the crew disembarked from the boat and walked ahead to the bridge, then stood one either side of the youths while the boat passed under. Strangely they didn't throw any rocks while the two bikers were there minding their own business.
