Earlier in the week I got a text message asking if I could replace one light fitting...

and wire up two outside lights to an existing junction box...

(customer say's the two lights are already fixed to the wall)...

So I pop round this morning..

A pair of those Up & Down pointing wall lights with GU10 lamps, are already fixed each side of the garage door...

Customer proudly tells me that the cable entry points are lined up with the mortar between the bricks..

All I need to do is drill the holes to run a pair of cables back to the J/box inside the garage..

So as instructed I drill and wire the new lights....

All done and sorted, customer happy & paid for my work...

The only point I didn't mention to them, is that the two lights are not actually level!!!!

It took me a couple of looks to notice they are fitted at different heights..

Left hand light 'THREE' bricks down from the top of the garage door...

Right hand light 'FOUR' bricks down from the top of the garage door!!

But customer is happy..

they think they have saved some money..

So I am not going to rock the boat..

And I would have charged the same for fixing the lights myself, level..

(as it would only have been 4 more fixing holes).

:C

Strange beasts them Customers!!
