LMAO SLoc.

Sounds like a pretty normal CU change. Stand by with crimps and heat shrink, one of the better inventions I reckon and where would we be without them.

Had to laugh about the door that will no stay open no matter what you do. I have even removed the door off its hinges before now ****ing thing.

Is there not some old saying that goes on the lines of "Patience is a virtue, seldom found in men but often found in women"? or something lie that. My answer to that is let the ****ing women do the cr4p jobs then :^O

Special, these are everyday problems.

The Dons, boys usually sort these inconveniences out.

Don

Howabouts,

when the customers son pulls up a seat and watches you for the whole day installing lights/sockets in the garage.

Or

Customer doesnt want the wall chased out or any trunking put up when making additions.

Or

customer has bought the cheapest naff light from the local hardware stall on the market and wants you to fit it

or

you've slogged your guts out to get jobs done for customer you finished early and then they want you to fit something else in for free cos its not yet 5pm and you,ve nearly finished packing up your tools!

Suppose this is just part of the fun of the electrickery game. :^O

Usally by rippin out all electrics... X( ]:)

then give customer...

1 x wind-up torch,

1 x wind-up radio,

tell em to chop some logs to make a fire...

and go to the take-away to cook food!!: :|

The relevant kit is.....chase up the wall...

through the loft...

then back down the other wall!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

lol

:D :^O:^O:D:^O:D:^O:D
Surely this depends on the client allowing you to do this?

Not all customers like their newly decorated (or not as the case may be) walls, chased out..

But as Ex15 states there are tools available to allow access below these flooring boards.

Indeed Don....

twas joking:D

I always avoid chasing walls wherever possible, too much like hard workX(

generally always easier going under boards,

especially with those really usefull access rods & hooks & bits!

oh & a good torch..

tis dark down between them boards! ]:)

Ah, The old chip board saw & Fein multi master.

:p

Ah, The old chip board saw & Fein multi master. :p
'Fein multi master'

that always sounds like the name of some compost to me ?:|

you could just imagine it on gardeners question time..

"and now we have our panels topical tips for this week"....

"It is a good time of the year to dig in a bit of Fein multi master around your tomatoes, potatoes & fruit bushes".

It just sounds the "right sort of name"???

and it sounds righter the more beer you have drunk!:8}:8} hic. hic

AND..........

dont you just hate it when...

replacing the bulb in an external floodlight type fitting..

you undo the screw to fold the front lense down..

and the screw has NO retaining washer..

as you fold it down the screw falls out:(

and bounces off the patio decking or blockpaving..

in some unknown direction.....

never to be found again!!! :_| :_| :_|

you get one of your battery operated testers out of the toolbox...

and find it still switched ON!...

and no auto switch off!

flat battery rules OKX(X( X(

Or....

probably one of my worst hates of all................?

Dont you just hate it when...

working all day at a domestic property...

customer is in ALL day..

And you dont get offered a single drink... :(

until you are just packin you tools and about to leave... :_|

Mrs (or Mr) customer just says..

"oh I just about to do a drink.... maybe next time luv?" X(X( X(

P.S.

I was once working up a ladder outside kitchen window...

saw customer make drink & sit down with her friend who had just popped round,

over the kitching table sippin tea & eating buiscuit!!

They didn't even bat an eyelid at me working the other side of the window:|

As a builder I know once said..

There are wet houses

dry houses

and positivly rude houses! ]:)

{i must add though most domestic jobs if customer is in are very good at the tea & coffee:)B)}

Dont you just hate....

having to wipe your feet on the mat on the way out..

driving like a dingbat to get home for a shower

Finding cat pooh behind the tv that was there 3months ago on your last visit !!!

Or when ur screwing a face plate onto ur metal back box and then . . . oh the threads gone.

or when u hit the chisel with the hammer and u miss ohh.

customer says y u doin that y u doin this

o i dont want that there no more can u move it on the other wall.
