Ducting

Hi. We have been aske to install MeV units to a new domestic project of 47 flats. Usually we don’t deal with the ducting side of things as it’s a plumbing issue. A quick question, is it possible to combine ducting extract runs? One duct serving one or more rooms? Is there a required piece to stop back drafts from one room to another?

Any help would be very useful

Which make/model of MEV? 
 

Is this one unit per X number of flats or all individual unit per flat or one large unit for all flats? 
 

It matters on design airflow rates.

So your extract will all branch from one main extract run as will your supply from the supply run.

All the architects I have ever come across are all just glorified draftsmen, totally useless and incompetent........

It’s specified as MeV. Not mvhr so that’s what I’m researching. One duct to outside air one from MeV unit teeing off to each extract head

sadly this is the approach of too many these days if you ask me. 
I guess the builders of grenfell followed the same and looked what happened there?
