can easycert be run in a VM ?

or to be more precise , can easycert be run in a VM and accessed via a non windoze PC ?

if not then Im thinking 'logmein' and having an old PC run windoze if really need be.

I really want to try and use easycert, but not at the expense of using a **** OS ,

AMtech seem to think their stuff will run on VM ok, I know for certain easycert will NOT run under WINE due to .dll issues that cannot be easily resolved.

can anyone that has easycert try it,? is that possible within the licencing restrictions?

you know, it would be possible for easycert to release the source code and still retain the part that required payment to obtain functionality,

why are so many companies paranoid?

free software doesnt actually mean financially free, it means free to modify, have a look at redhat, or APACHE even, is that free?

yes, to modify, but it costs a helluva lot to actually purchase.

I run easycert with parallels/win 7 on my MacBook Pro. It runs perfect.

I have not been able to get megger power software to work though.

I will have to contact easycert again, I dropped my laptop, had to get a new hard drive and so no easycert!! No way am I going to paper again.

I think you should have a hard copy on disk rather than a download, saves all the hassle when things go wrong.

can you not just download the trial version, and then add your registration details to get it into full version.

thats how mine worked

I do not have my registration details unfortunately.

I am thinking of going for amteck for the engineering and design side, expensive but a little more adaptable, and you get the disk for when your PC is lost stolen or dropped.
