europe road trip

last year I did a banger rally to spain with a few pals in an old beemer, loved it, we won, happy days.

This year we've just bought a transit camper for 500quid, and want to drive to greece or turkey. I know a few of you have been around to various places in europe, so wheres the best places in eastern europe to go?? for nightlife, culture and just awe inspiring places that u must see or experience?

the route so far takes us down to calais, up through belgium to amsterdam, down through germany, czech, then either through austria or slovakia, hungary, croatia, then follow the coast down to greece, through montenagro and albania.

Sellers I was in Bratislava for a stag do one weekend - REALLY nice place, good food, drinks and the locals are wonderful.

I've been to Roznov in the eastern Czech Rep on business 3 times. I stayed in the Aeroplan Hotel on the edge of town (though i guess you won't need a hotel). Beautiful part of the world and lovely people. Great food, dirt cheap.

Mountainous and forested around that area, plenty of walking and MTBing in the summer or skiing in the winter.

I forget what it's called but everyone round there makes plum wine (from the tree in the garden) and then has it distilled into a spirit/schnapps which they drink between courses. Rocket fuel!! Fantastic!! Bring me back a gallon or two please.

Bruno is also a nice place according to colleagues who visited that area.

Just watch for the potholes.
