Hi, ive come across a job which i havent come across yet, the customer wants his consumer unit moved on to the other side of the wall it is currently on and up the wall which is about 2.5meters away in total. The meter is to stay were it is currently. Obviously the tails will have to pass through the brick wall. Would i be ok to henley block the tails and pass through the wall and then up in mini trunking with the other cables or do i have to used a fused switch spur to swa to the new consumer unit position?

Also while im asking a question what would be involved if he wanted the meter moved as well, any idea of cost?

thanks very much

Sparkattack, I like your opening sentence , " Hi I've come across a job which I haven't come across yet" ?:| ; \ :p

Your method sounds good to me M8 , up to 3Mtrs for the tails is normal round here before fitting a fused switch. Personally I'd fit a DP X 100A isolator at the meter instead of Henley blocks .

As for cost of moving meter , thats down to the supply company.
