I've got a job to look at tomorrow night with existing federal boards and I need to put lights and aircon supplies from them.

Can you still get breakers for these boards, as I thought I heard that: a) you cant get them, and B) they should not be disturbed

If this is the case I'll have to add another board in there but theres loads of exisiting spare ways on the old boards.

If it's the ones I'm thinking of breakers were getting quite rare a few years ago and all the wholesalers were grabbing any they could as they always sold well. I think I've got a few in the shed, if you know what you want and if they are the ones I'm thinking of let me know and I'll have a root round.

Federal MCBs are as rare as rocking horse poo now, I'm guessing its the Stablock ones you are looking at . We did have some but I think they've been used now.

There is a guy in Brum ,by Spaghetti Junction , who buys and sells 2nd hand electrical stuff , if you are totally stuck, might have some. Current Electrical, Phone No. 0121 328 3343 .

Deke

I have a 16 amp single phase that I brought for a job but never used it if thats any help, its second hand but probably ok.

I'm off to look at it now.

Best case I can think of is add another board running off a TP breaker from the existing but need to work it out first.

I'll let you know later what I need.

Thanks for the responses guys !
