All,

Got to fit a room stat into a Y plan (which doesn't have a room stat).

Do I simply fit it in series with the HTG output from the controller (white wire to the mid port).

So controller HTG goes to room stat common/L1. White wire to L3

But does L2 go to the Neutral terminal? (or do I leave this not connected)

Thanks,

O.

Just had a look at the Honeywell wiring guide and TBH you'd need to have a look at the wiring diagram for the 3 port valve, they are not just connected in series.

Don't know about other makes of valve though

All correct, put neutral in as well.

Go to the Honeywell site and register for the downloads section. Here you can download all the plan diagrams. You've basically got it, but always good to have the wiring diagram to hand.

Some roomstats need a neutral and some don't - check the instructions for the chosen model.
