I want to have a shaver socket fitted in my downstairs toilet. The wall where I want it to go is a cavity wall. On the other side of the wall and close to the position I want the shaver socket is a light switch for my lounge. Could an electrician spur off from the cable running to the light switch for my shaver socket? Or would he have to run a new cable from perhaps the toilet ceiling rose which would be a much more expensive and messy job (e.g. floorboards up)

Thanks

If it's loop at switch it could be done, but without looking we won't know.

Easiest thing is get an electrician to look. He will look behind the switch to see how it's wired and advise options.
