Called out this morning to "My shower has gone bang".
So picks up 50a pull switch and attends.
Checks pull switch, absolutely fine. Cover off shower. Everything absolutely fine.
Meggers cables fluxling between 79-130Meg.
OK not great, but not a short. Disconnect shower output. Reset the circuit breaker. Pull the cord.
BANG. From behind the shower.
Thinks odd, maybe a screw through cable and it moves when the shower come on ?
Nope !
SEE PICS BELOW
15a plastic connectors, wrapped in tape. Melted and melted into the shower and into the heater element cover.
Customer says "That will be why I've smelt something funny while taking a shower for the last few weeks!!!!!"
Anyone else any horror stories this week ?
