Gordon Brown was visiting a school when he looked in on one of the classes.

The children in the class were discussing words and their meanings.

The teacher asked Gordon Brown if he would like to join in and lead the discussion about the word 'Tragedy'.

So he asked the children to give an example of a tragedy.

A boy stood up and offered 'If my best mate who lives on a farm, is playing in the field & a tractor run's over him that would be a tragedy'.

NO, said Brown 'that would be an accident'.

A girl puts her hand up 'If a school bus carrying 50 children went over a cliff killing them all that would be a tragedy'.

'No that would be a great loss'

All the children remained silent and after a while Gordon Brown asks 'is the no-one who can give me an example of a tragedy'

After a while little Johnny raise's his hand and say's:

If you and Alistar Darling where on a plane and was struck by 'Friendly fire' missle and it was blown to bit's, that would be a tragedy.

Brilliant say's Brown that right , can you tell me why it would be a tragedy?

Well say,s little Johnny it has to be a tragedy, because it wouldn't be a great loss and it probably wouldn't be a F***ing accident either!
