grasslin immersion heater clock stopping

Help! Had a good look around the forum and you guys seem to know what you're talking about, hope you can help with my issue.

My Grasslin immersion heater timer clock seems to stop working when the timer is set to go off. When it's set to be on it's heating up the water and the clock is working but as soon as the timer is set to stop heating the clock also stops working meaning that it doesn't then start to heat up again.

any ideas what this could be?

Sounds like it could be a faulty switch. I'd say best bet is to get part no off your timeswitch and speak to Grasslin technical. TFC Group 01732 351680 just ask for technical. Good luck

has it always been like that since it was fitted or has it recently started to behave in this way

sounds like motor is getting feed from switched supply instead of feed

+1 As Andy says , is it switching itself off ? Have you just connected it up ? Or just moved in ?

Grasslin had a recall on faulty immersion timers sometime ago

Hi, thanks for all the replies. It's never worked since moving in. I called the tech helpline and they say it sounds like it's wired up wrong. Time to get an electrician in now! thanks again.

Where are you at larastar? May be a forumite close to you could maybe take a look for you on the way home, so to speak.
