Grounding Generator

Hi All, 

I have been asked to install a 200kVA diesel generator and I have seen mixed reviews on if it should be grounded at all. Anyone had any experience on this at all?

if you dont then where's your earth path to ground?

Unable to edit the above. The unit will need grounding however it may well be set up for grounding so the supplier is the best place to ask.

Isn't it more to do with the change-over switching arrangement than the generator itself?

my opinion was to ground it, I really don't like not having any but there has been more information saying its fine to leave it. Will get the supplier contacted and see what they say.
