went to a job today.... cow shed TT(as is a lot of the Island).... feeding another cowshed with 6mm SWA (no TT at second shed but good Zs)..... app 60m sub main to new cow shed(cows in, dont I get all the good jobs)....recently insalled 300w halogen floods x 3...2 lamps blown.... not just blown ...both ends of lamp blown to bits. Could this be volt drop??? (6mm SWA feeding 1kw lighting and 2 twin sockets never used)

may be a faulty batch of lamps, or they may have been inserted badly and making bad contact. if your worried about volt drop, go measure it, or give us a lot more details. but i dont think it will be. worst case would be dimmer than normal

Too true, they pass our house at 160-170mph what a blast.

Probably know your bro is he self employed and Part P?

My guess is the faulty batch of lamps but ta for the food for thought.
