Help!? High pitch beeping Dimplex Quantum ((QM150RF))

In need of some help please..

I have an unusual problem with a Quatum Dimplex storage heater (QM150RF) - it's giving off a high pitch beeping noise which is very faint and can only be heard when the room is quiet (unless you're a dog!!)

Any ideas on what it might be and how to fix it please??

Have you tried calling Dimplex technical?

Have you tried switching it off for a few minutes then on again? I know it sounds daft but it does solve many issues with digital controls.

Thanks for the responses! Sorry for the delay.

Mark at Dimplex seems to think it might have something to do with the installation and suggested making contact with the people that installed it.. Something I have noticed is that the fan doesn't seem to be coming on, as it does with the other 2 quantums we have?!

Anyway, I'll be in touch with the installer to see what they think

That would suggest the fan is possibly sticking on something and potentially the cause of the high pitch squeal.
Can the cover be easily loosened to see if fan works and squeal stops?

Fair point! I think you might be right - the sound it makes gives the impression something is resistant. I'll let you know if it solves the problem!
