Just to be clear, have you switched the boiler and water back on? Is it a combi system or do you have cold water tanks up in the loft and a hot water cylinder. If combi does the pressure drop off on the boiler gauge? When you stripped the boxed in section, is there any pipe joints? Could the water have ran to area or has it “ jetted” to that point as from a burst joint or pipe itself. You will probably only find this leak if system is all pressurised. We do have a wealth of experience on this forum and like to help but our specialised subject is electrics. PS it would drive me mad as well if I thought I had a leak, in fact it did only last week and I found a leaking joint under the floor.
