Welcome to the forum.

I can't help you with the avatar as I can't remember how I did mine!

It was along time ago.

It might be a new member thing where by you have to have more than 10 posts before you can have an avatar.

If you keep participating that will soon fly by.

I'll see what I can find out later, there may be a help file thing to show you how, but it may be with the old software, as things are still being updated around here.
