I'm just starting out on this PV lark. I've registered with the NIC for MCS and I've done the Logic Solar PV course but I've yet to do a real installation. I wasn't over impressed with the Logic course and one area I was particularly unsure about is how, in reallity, you get the cables from the modules into the building. ie do you experienced guys use tile vents or conduit over the edge of the roof and through the gable or what?

I'm in Gloucestershire so you can answer Steptoe, I'm miles away from you!

a combination of ways TBH,

tile vents are usually good, or sometimes just grind a bit out of the bottom of the tile and some oval conduit,

one Im doing at the minute will be some conduit down the side and in that way.

I do travel sometimes,!

I done an ASHP in London a while back, and have some renewables in the Lake District coming up in a couple of weeks,.

You can get several types of proper replacement tiles with grommets fitted for the cables - very neat and professional

admin - can we have a Thatchers Gold Icon!!!???
