how we choose a substation (for example 63kv or 20k) for a industrial region

hello

i am working in a beverage produce factory . we are in a industrial region positioned in a  rural area . there is several small factories . we have three production lines wich have 2MW power consumption total amount .also there is a substation 63-20kv substation in less than 10 km .so we have 20kv transformers in our side.  but when we want to start in a full load we have 25v volatage drop in network in low voltage  side. i think becuase of distance we have large power waste in line . i want to make proof that the region must  have dedicated substaion 63kv to reduce the power waste . how can i ?

if you want DNO to upgrade their network to cope with your demand, its going to cost you. a lot.

I don’t think elias is in the UK, we don’t use 20kV.

Do you have transformer on load tap changers? Tap changers have a delay function to stop hunting, so volt drop on start up is to be expected. There are ways of linking plant start up to voltage regulation. Before the plant goes on line the tap changer raises the LV voltage. It’s not a system I like as I’ve had VFD’s fail due over voltage.

Assuming a LV supply of 433V – 25V = 5.8% volt drop, not an amount that would particularly worry me on an industrial site.
