Asylum seekers don't get Council accomodation, they are housed at Taxpayer's expense, often in run down hard to let housing.

It is not racist to not want to pay your taxes to asylum seekers. England is overcrowded, we don't need any more people, no matter what quals they have, we have enough people here to do the jobs we need.

Now I'm not having a go at anybody because i know of a lot of foreign people who are very experienced, and can give greatly to this country and i respect that. The problem is the people who don't give anything which is mainly asylum seekers and a lot of lazy english scroats. The government is failing by making it too easy for the english people to not work, hence the need for immigrants. But then its too easy for them not to work too.

I say toughen the laws up for anyone not working. This will sort out the old lazy englishman and make england a less attractive place for people wanting an easy ride.

The thing is Britain is bursting at the seams, healthcare, education, benefits are all stretched to the limit. While I believe we should help those who are genuinely in danger the system has been grossly abused and mis managed. Those who fail dont get sent back, there are more than a million illegal immigrants. People have had enough and its time to vote soon so people use your voice!

i will say, some asylum go to great lengths to leave safe countries to make it to britain,

i dont see a real reason why people on jobseekers cant do 1 day community service a week,

My simple problem with this is - none of theses illegal immigrants are Welsh or Scottish. This means that these asylum seekers must not be one of our immediate neighbours and MUST have passed through at least 1 safe country (usually many many more) before getting here.

They come here because we are too damn generous. I am fully in agreement of genuine asylum seekers, looking for sanctury from persecution in their own countries but not coming here from very far away and milking our benefit/health/education systems.

Well put. Also all should be able to speak english to save on translators costs and why are we sending child allowance out of the country for children not even born here.

I emigrated to NZ in 96 and had to jump through hoops to get in there. 9 months of beurocracy and point scoring exercises even then I had to get a job offer in writing before I was given a residency permit. Why cant we be a bit more choosy who we let in?

Unfortunately I live in Birmingham . Need I say more !!! Local industry has been disapearing since the 1970,s , probably soon lose Jaguar Cars, Land Rover, and Cadburys if take over goes through, yet still the government thinks there is room and jobs for all comers. They have thought this since the late 1950,s and continue to do so.

All countries can accomodate a certain amount of immigration but this is a tiny , bankrupt, overcrowded island off the northern coast of Europe which is ,slowly but surely ,going down the pan , with an ever decreasing work force suporting an ever increasing bunch of non working, benefit scroungers who are only here for for the handouts that we so willingly give from a fast shrinking purse.

As someone once said in the 60,s "We must be mad"
