Hello peeps,

Does anyone have one of these in car cameras or any experience of such things please?

Starting to look at them as it looks like my daughter was a victim of a crash for cash last night!

I know stable door bolted horse etc.

Thanks in advance,

Sorry about that. It's becoming so much more prevalent. Piece on such frauds in The Times today.

Wasn't there a thread on TEF on dash cams a short while ago?

Tbh for the price I'm very tempted by this:

http://www.coopersofstortford.co.uk/coopers-of-stortford-in-car-digital-dash-camera-prodst09673i/

Was in fact just about to make a (slightly drunken) purchase but the wife's just said she has Coopers vouchers so to hang fire.

I know it seems v.cheap. But then ref the seller I have one of their driveway alarms and its fantastic with a very long range too.

^^^^^^

I have one of those cameras,

£15 on ebay, they are all the same generic cams, I've seen a few of them, local car parts place sells them, identical, just a different name on them.

For 15 I'm happy enough, wouldn't have wanted to pay £30 tho,

I think it was Andy had a good one at about £70 iirc, that's the one I'd go for next, had gps etc on it

Andy, did yours come with a sim card? All the cheap ones I've seen don't supply the card, so not that cheap.

Pro Dave, didn't you mention you missus is dealing dash-cams?

SD card?

you can buy an 8G SD card for under a tenner,

I happened to have a 8G one going spare [from the Pi], so I used that, just remember to get a decent speed one,

mines could really do with being faster tbh.
